ALAN LAM
Alan Lam is a matte painter who specialises in creating photo realistic environments for feature films using a combination of 2D and 3D techniques. For over 7 years he has contributed his creativity to over 20 feature films. From stylised environments for animated features to large landscapes, seamlessly integrated into live action photography, Alan’s environments are tailored to give the best result for each shot.After a childhood of drawing and film-making, for 4 years Alan was trained in the challenge of aesthetic-versus-technical at Monash University (majoring in Multimedia). He furthered his passion by studying at the Victorian College of the Arts (majoring in VFX) where he won best VFX production for his short film ‘Soroboru’.
